Marion County Bass Master’s Annual Open

Annual Open Write Up Rodman 2022:
20 boats came out for the Marion County Bassmasters annual open tournament at Rodman! Taking home the win was Brian Lewis and Tommy Studstill with 16.67lbs! Tommy caught a 7.22lb Rodman Hawg for Big Bass Honors! Very close behind taking 2nd was Jeff Davis and Dewayne Moore with 16.10lbs and rounding out the top 3 was John Bailey and Andy Fountaine with 13.31lbs! We had 19 boats come out and compete in open held at Lake Panasofkee at Tracy’s Point! Lake Panasofkee still produces great bags of fish! Taking home the win was the team of Kevin Walton and Scott Paul with 29.59lbs ($800)! 2nd honors went to Daniel and Russell Tillis with 21.68lbs ($200) and 3rd went to Julin Quintana and Kyle with 19.61lbs ($140)! Kyle caught an 8.89lb Toad for Big Bass Honors ($380)! Thank you to all that came out! Be on the look out as we will put on one more open this year!

We had 19 boats come out to compete in our Open Tournament on Rodman! There are definitely some quality bags coming out of Rodman right now! Taking home the win was Eric Hartman and Jevis Phillips with their 25.12lb Sack!!! 2nd went to Larry Parker and Dale Wiles with 19.83lbs and rounding out the top 3 was Patrick Hixon and Abel Venavides with 18.69lbs! Dale Jackson took home Big Bass Honors with his 8.95lb Rodman Hawg! Save Rodman is just around the corner! Be sure to get signed up! We had 24 boats come out to Griffin for the first open put on by the Marion County Bassmasters! Lee Stalvey and Jason Caldwell took home the win with a true MEGA BAG! Their five fish limit weighed in at 36.61lbs and was anchored by a 9.82lb Harris Chain Hawg!!!! 2nd went to Tyler Deruiter and Thomas Boney with 20.97lbs, and rounding out the top 3 was Jonathan Bailey and Andy Fontaine with 18.38lbs!  Be sure to keep checking out this page for updates on where our next open will be!

10 boats came out to help us raise $$$ to send our High School Anglers to the National Championship!!!! Taking Home the  W was the team of Scott and Colby Paul with 24.07lbs! 2nd went to James Hatch and Tim Price with 23.19lbs and 3rd went to Chris Heron and Jason Ward with 21.81lbs! Jason Ward took home big bass honors with his 9.69lb Lake Panosofkee Lunker! Thanks again to all that came out! 
21 boats came out and fished in another open we held on May 30th. Lake Panasofkee is still producing some great bags of fish!!! 
Chris Heron and Jason Ward took home the win with 24.11lbs! Close behind in 2nd was the team of Andrew and Casey Hall with 23.02lbs. They also took home the big bass honors with an 8.42lb Panasofkee Trophy Catch! 3rd went to James Snipes and Taylor Green with 21.98lbs and 4th went to Daniel and Russell Tillis with 20.13lbs! 31 boats came out to compete for our most recent open! Panasofkee is still on Fire. With multiple bags over 20lbs this fishery is amazing! Taking home the win was the team of Brian Varga and Chris Addair with their 25.28lb Sack! Randy Copleland took home Big Bass honors with his 8.88lb Tank! Tracy’s Point has been a gracious host for our opens. They have a full tackle shop and nice cabin rentals as well as boat slips. Definetly a nice little getaway to check out and try to go catch a Trophy! 
Tracy’s Point was a gracious host for our yearly Annual Open Tournament. We had to move our tournament to Lake Panasofkee. Boy are we glad we did! The Lake is on Absolute Fire!!! We had 37 teams show up to compete! There were nine 20lb plus bags weighed in!!! 28lbs took the win for the day! We paid 7 places with 21.53lbs getting the last check! There were three Trophy Catches in the mix and multiple 5lb plus fish caught! What a fishery! Also, Social Distancing Guidelines were followed! We are holding another open this Sunday!
