Marion County Bassmasters had 16 teams make the trip down to Lake Toho to wrap up the 2019-20 season at the Classic! Conditions were tough to say the least! Taking home the win with a two day weight of 30.59lbs was Jeff Davis and Kevin Murrell! They took home over $1,100 big ones along with some more cash for finishing out the points race in 2nd! Close on their heels was the team of Mike and Greg Crumpton in 2nd, Steve and Jonathan Bailey in 3rd, and Steve Hedrick and Darrin Hill rounding out the top 4 spots! Big Bass each day was also awarded. Zack Barrera took home the day big bass with his 6lb plus Toho Toad and Steve Hedrick took home the day two big bass with his 7lb plus Toho Tank! Winning the points race for the year was the team of Chad Dorland and Andrew White! Holding on the almost $900 big Bass of the Year was Kim Wilemon with his 10lb plus Hernando Hawg! Our classic paid out right around $5,000 this year even with Covid slowing us down and canceling key events. Can’t wait to kick off our 2020-21 season at Rousseau on Nov 14th! New member meeting and reup on dues Tue Nov 10th @ Charlie Horse Restaurant Ocala 7pm. Dues are $60 per angler, Tournament is $30 per angler (includes big bass), and don’t forget the Big Bass of the Year Sidepot $20! All members must be current members of B.A.S.S. and have $300,000 liability insurance on their boats. Tight Lines!
